SVP - Retail Sales Manager

Job Summary: Reporting to the CEO of UnionBanc Investment Services, the Retail Sales Manager is responsible for the brokerage sales and marketing efforts throughout the Bank's retail footprint. The position has overall management and supervisory responsibility for all UBIS advisors and regional investment managers throughout the Bank's retail footprint. This position manages approximately five Regional Investment Managers and approximated 140 SF'As / FA's indirectly. Major Responsibilities: 50% Manage all UBIS Investment activities conducted by UBIS SFA and FA's within the Retail Bank. Responsible for direct supervision of UBIS Regional Investment Managers assigned to the Retail Sales Manager. Responsible for developing and implementing the Strategy for UBIS's retail sales effort. Oversight responsibility for the recruitment, hiring, training, motivating and general support of all dedicated sales personnel within the retail sales program. 20% Develop the strategic vision and structure to grow our investment and brokerage business within the retail bank and other distribution channels as needed. Responsible for the Investment Sales Management team and overall principal responsibility of the registered representatives under their leadership. Responsible for ensuring that all appropriate bank and regulatory requirements are complied with fully by all team members. Work closely with UBIS Compliance to ensure all sales activities are in accordance with UBIS policies and regulatory rules. 15% Design, administer and implement incentive compensation plan for advisors and sales management in their group. Work closely with all internal groups within UBIS to facilitate appropriate training, education products and solutions for clients and advisors. Additional Information: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Strong communication and interpersonal skills, self motivated and results orientated, with the ability to function effectively within deadlines and work within a team environment with minimal supervision. Sales management expertise - experience in hiring, managing and disciplining sales people track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Knowledge of investment management services, processes and products and how to effectively present these services to qualified prospects Ability to motivate and train sales personnel Excellent organizational and time management skills Demonstrates knowledge and is sensitive to the current regulatory environment; adheres to UBIS's and the Bank's Risk Vision, and risk management policies and program; recognizes and proactively address risk (including but not limited to those associated with Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, fiduciary responsibilities, all related brokerage compliance and regulatory policies and procedures, and privacy); identifies and appropriately manages risks Prefer 5-10 years prior sales management experience in a brokerage or investment firm. Past experience in a bank brokerage firm is a plus. Requires FINRA Series 7, 24, 66 and 65. Other licenses may be required as appropriate.
